Going On Holiday With A 7 Month Old..

Who even thinks its a good idea to fly with a baby hey? Well me and Ash decided to book a holiday with a 7 hour flight when Albie was going to be 7 months old. We booked the holiday when i was pregnant so the thought of a holiday to Dubai sounded fantastic at the time! As it got nearer i started to dread it.. what do i pack? how is he going to eat? will we even go in the sun? will security shout at me for taking some milk?! there was so much to think about and with baby brain that's just not easy!!

I was very wrong.. it was easier going away with a baby than it was going on a girls trip! (that's Ayia Napa again - ha ha!) the best thing we did for the flight was get the seats with the bassinet at the front. We had a night flight so this came in very handy as soon as it hit bedtime in the UK he was soundo in it, he actually slept for 6 and a half hours of the 7 hour flight - RESULT! another added bonus was that we got extra legroom! It says online they are for newborn up to 2 but i would say they are more newborn up to 6 months unless you have a very little baby!

When we got to the airport i was in panic mode again as i had milk in bottles in my bag for the flight as well as some snacks for Albie! Again they took the bottles and food, scanned them and that was that! You can actually order milk 72 hours before you fly which you can collect after security but making them up was so much easier! I also didn't know you can push a stroller all the way to the plane door and then they can put it in the hold. This saved our arms in the airport because i have an absolute lump of a baby now!

When we arrived it was just as easy although it was already in the 20s when we arrived and Albie decided to throw up over me just as we got off of the plane - other than that all was well and i only smelt like sick for about 30 minutes until we got to the hotel. We stayed in the Atlantis and all i have is one word for the place - INCREDIBLE. There was absolutely everything you needed all in one place. We had unlimited access to the water park, the aquarium, we had over 10 restaurants to choose from every night and to top it off our room was over looking the aquarium so every morning we could wake up and see the sharks and stingrays being fed.

The whole week we were there was amazing and we will definitely be going back. The trip back was a little different as Ash had to stand up every other hour on the flight because Albie wanted to be nosey! If he wasn't there i don't know what i would of done. But i cant complain Albie was good as gold for the whole week and made our first holiday all together one to remember!

So if anyone tells you different its not a scary experience and so so easy! I'm going with the younger the better! So relax and enjoy the holiday!

Just before take off!

The amazing plane cot! (well for on the way there!)

This was at 8am! that's the aquarium under our room!
